Dear Guest,
During a time when our world is hurting from both natural disasters and unrest, we want to take a moment to share our deepest sympathies and for all who are suffering. We as an organization condemn violence in any form, and remain committed to providing aid whenever possible.
Recently, our Los Angeles chapter hosted an event, raising over $2,100 for the The People's Fund of Maui, providing direct assistance to those impacted by the fires in Lahaina and Kula. Our Phoenix chapter is hosting a holiday event that will also dedicate 100% of net ticket sales through donations to the fund. And, coming in December, we will hold an online silent auction with all proceeds donated to supporting the people of Maui as they rebuild their lives. As an organization, we acknowledge that there is much devastation and unrest in the world, but this is just one way that we can come together as a travel community to support an important cause. MIT's Silent Auction for Maui
Millennials in Travel will be running an online silent auction in December 2023. This is a virtual global event for everyone to participate! The final auction dates will be announced soon but, in the meantime, we are seeking additional prizes for the auction. Leadership Spotlight: Star Lasam
Millennials in Travel Operations Manager

Coming from a military family, Star has spent much of her life traveling. Then while working on her BA in Psychology at UC Santa Barbara, she studied abroad in London which only deepened her love for travel and inspired her to pursue a career in it. Her first job in the industry was on the sales team at the Hotel Angeleno. Then in 2016, she was a part of the first ALTOUR University program in which she learned the skills to become a travel agent. She went on to specialize in music and touring and is now an Entertainment Travel Specialist at Plaza Travel. Outside of work, you can usually find her at a concert or show and of course - traveling! | | | |

Millennials in Travel are travel industry professionals generally born after 1975. We are tour operators, tourism boards, hotels, cruise lines, airlines, marketing representation companies, consortia, transportation providers, travel journalists, and travel agencies. We are passionate and committed to the industry. We act professional in both social and work environments. We have a strong belief in the potential of the industry. We drive tourism on a global level. We are the future of the travel industry!
